NAUTI WARRIOR: ALLY OLSON
H A P P Y W E L L N E S S W E D N E S D A Y
Welcome back to our Nauti Warrior series. This week we are highlighting the one and only ALLY OLSON
A little background on Ally:
This kind hearted girl is from a suburb outside of Chicago, Illinois and studies business here at San Diego State University. When Ally is not busy being the ultimate Nauti Warrior, you can find her surrounded by friends and making people laugh.
I sat down with Ally and asked her some questions about her perspective about being an Nauti Warrior and here were her responses:
What is your typical workout routine?
I like to break up my workouts throughout the day to keep me motivated. I wake up early and start my day by running for about 20 minutes on the treadmill. This just helps wake me up and get my day started! And then around 3 or 4 I will go over to the ARC and either have a leg day or focus specifically on chest/triceps or back and biceps. Abs are an everyday thing as well. Also my new thing is cycling so I am trying to go to more classes for that!
What do you consider a healthy lifestyle?
EVERYTHING IN MODERATION. Balance is key to a healthy lifestyle. It is so important to take care of your body and make sure that you are fueling it with the right things. It is also super important to workout daily because it is a natural stress reliever and is much better than binging on food. Along that note, I am not the kind of girl who would ever pass up a cookie. But it goes along with balancing everything!
Did you ever have a health epiphany that made you change your lifestyle?
Actually I did! When I was younger, I would eat whatever I wanted because I had such a fast metabolism and wasn't really thinking about what I was putting into my body, because what elementary school kid does? But then around sophomore year of high school, I started to notice that the things I was putting into my body, soda specifically, were really slowing me down. I did competitive cheer and I just always felt sluggish and tired and I realized it was because I wasn't paying attention into what I was fueling my body with. I started to change how I fed my body and with eating better I started to feel better too!
What are your typical breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
When I wake up I typically make myself a cup of coffee and run out the door. I do eat breakfast just when I get back from class! Around 10 or 11 I LOVE making egg whites, smoothies, or avocado toast. For lunch I've really been loving the turkey patties from Trader Joes (but just the patty) and also mashed potatoes, also from Trader Joes hehe. And for dinner chicken stir fry is most likely what you'll be catching me eating. Also I always finish up the day with dessert:)
What is your guilty pleasure... food wise?
SWEETS. I have such a sweet tooth! Reese's, donuts, and anything chocolate are probably my favorites. I think it is really important to incorporate these little things you love into your life so you can form a positive relationship with food.
What does being a Nauti Warrior mean to you?
Being a Nauti Warrior is someone who is confident in their own skin. Someone who sees the good in every day. It is important for a Nauti Warrior to never apologize for being just the way you are. And every day, you try to become the best version of yourself.
Lastly, how do you want to see other people living nauti?
I would love to see people incorporating living nauti by being more confident! Every single person is beautiful in their own special way so it is important to show that each and every day. Also just overall to live nauti it is essential to stay positive. If you have a bright outlook on each day you'll be surprised what amazing things come from it.
Thank you Ally for sharing your Nauti Warrior thoughts with us. You are truly an inspiration to people everywhere. Keep up the Nauti Lifestyle.
