With finals finally over (or almost over for some of us) it is summer time! Summer is a more peaceful time of year. There is typically less stress than during the school year and with nicer weather, it is almost guaranteed to put you in a better mood.

With the freedom that summer gives us, it is important to work on our mental health and wellness. It is a time to destress and reset ourselves from all of the craziness that happened throughout the school year. I have complied a summer bucket-list ~Nauti Body edition~ to keep us focused on centering ourselves during this summer. It is a combination of physical and mental tasks that will overall help your moral. The more you do the better you will feel!

1. Go on a hike--By simply surrounding yourself in nature will put you in a better mood. Bring a friend and try out a new trail.

2. Create a dream journal--When you track your dreams it is interesting to look up the meanings behind them and see what your subconscious has to say.

3. Attend a yoga class--Have you ever wanted to become a yogi!? This summer could be your chance! From beach yoga to hot yoga there is a different type for everyone.

4. Wake up early and watch the sunrise--I can testify to this one that it will really brighten your whole day. Going to watch the sunset is easy and we typically see it everyday. Challenge yourself to wake up early and experience the flip side of day.

5. Go a whole week (or maybe just a couple days) without processed foods--This won't be easy and will take dedication. Your body will thank you and it might even turn into a positive lifestyle change.

6. Drink 64 oz of water each day--DRINK MORE WATER. During summer it gets hotter so we need more water to keep our bodies going.

7. Stretch at least three times a day--Stretch when you wake up, mid-day, and before you go to bed. Trust me, your muscles will thank you.

8. Drink green tea--Green tea has many health benefits and has caffeine to keep you hustling and bustling throughout your day.

9. Try a new workout routine--Lets face it, working out in the summer is hard. It is hot outside and all we really want to be doing is laying by the pool. But by switching up your workout routine it will motivate you to stay active.

10. Try a cleanse--Going on a vacation soon and can't seem to shed doughnut you ate last week? Try a cleanse! Cleanses are good for seeing SHORT TERM change. Make sure you are still getting enough calories and nutrients throughout the day.

11. Start reading food labels--Once you start doing this it is hard to stop. It can be addicting to see what is in your food and also helps you choose healthier options.

12.Go to a farmers market--Farmers markets provide organic and locally grown foods that are yummy and better for our bodies.

13. Treat yourself to a new pair of shoes--Or whatever you've been wanting to buy yourself recently! Sometimes splurging on something you've really been wanting is exactly what you need for a mental pick-me-up.

14. Try something that has always scared you--Even if this is simply trying a different type of food. By adventuring like this, you are experiencing new things that will make you more diverse.

15. If your destination is walking distance, walk!--Our society drives EVERYWHERE. Even if we are simply just going down the street. By walking or riding a bike (ofo!), not only will you reduce your carbon footprint but you will also feel better about yourself!

16. Make a list of three things you are grateful for before bed each night--By doing this it will make you realize that even though every day may not be a good day, there is good in every day.

17. Get a massage--This is an obvious one. Although these can get pricey, sometimes a little self pampering is worth the cost in the long run.

18. Set a fitness goal and achieve it--Whether it is running a marathon or simply just working out once a week, when you start to accomplish fitness goals it can get addicting and you'll want to
accomplish more and more.

19. Take a bubble bath--I know baths aren't for everyone but if this is your kind of thing, make time for it. Baths are a good time to self reflect and rejuvenate yourself.

20. Light candles around your room or house--Candles can improve your overall mood. Find your favorite scent and light up your life!

Try to do as many of these as you can this summer and you will start to see a positive change in your life that is contagious:)
